Therapeutic and Pottery
Therapeutic Art and Pottery sessions offer a gentle, one to one, creative space to slow down, explore your inner world, and reconnect with yourself through the healing power of art, clay, and nature. Using a range of creative materials such as clay, paint, natural objects, collage and drawing, sessions invite curiosity, self-expression and reflection in a safe and supportive environment. There is no need to have any artistic experience – these sessions are about the journey rather than creating a perfect piece of art.
Together we might create pinch pots, nature sculptures, clay vessels, mandalas using natural treasures, or explore processes such as bilateral drawing, intuitive painting, sensory clay work and land art. Working with our hands and engaging with natural materials can help us access thoughts and feelings that can be difficult to put into words, fostering self-awareness, regulation and a deeper sense of connection. In these sessions, the creative process is always more important than the finished product; it is through making, exploring and being present in the moment that growth, healing and reconnection can occur.
Participants can expect to experience:
- Reduced stress and a greater sense of calm
- Improved emotional regulation and resilience
- Increased self-awareness and insight
- Enhanced creativity and self-expression
- A deeper connection to self, others, and the natural world
